Top to toe: Fashion for kids
Catalogue number:
V&A Museum of Childhood
Public Works Office designed this exhibition charting three centuries of children's fashion, from 19-century sailor-suits and knitted swimsuits, the iconic 1970s 'snorkel' parka, to mini Ugg boots and 'designer' babywear.

The exhibition displays over a hundred garments, paintings and photographs drawn from the V&A collection, set against a printed wallpaper backdrop of contextual graphics, vintage advertising and fabrics.

Building on the success of the exhibition, PWO worked with the museum to create Top to Toe: Contemporary, an accompanying display featuring contemporary childrenswear by designers working in the East End, including clothes made from vintage fabrics and ethically produced T-shirts.
