Public Works Office designed this display of Jake and Dinos Chapman's
My Giant Colouring Book — a set of 21 etchings that deface join-the-dots illustrations from children's puzzle books to create monstrous creatures and hallucinatory imagery.
To suit the (surprising) location at the V&A Museum of Childhood in Bethnal Green, the artwork is hung at a child's eye level. A work bench offers join-the-dots puzzle books for visitors to mis-use and create their own nightmarish scenes.
Coir matting is introduced as a deliberately uncomfortable material. The title of the exhibition is stencilled to the upper surface of one of the partitions, to be viewed from the museum's mezzanine level.
